About me / über mich
Hello, I am Georg Behringer, an freelance Illustrator. I was born in Würzburg in lovely Franconia, where I studied Graphic Design and Illustration at the Faculty of Design Würzburg – finished 1997 with a diploma. Since more than twenty years I live and work in Munich and share a studio (called Umwerk) with two collegues.
Besides drawing and art, I’m passionate about cycling and both urban and natural environments. The human species and its social interactions both fascinate and disturb me. I occasionally try to incorporate this aspect into my illustrations.

Hallo, ich bin Georg Behringer, freiberuflicher Illustrator. Geboren in Würzburg im schönen Unterfranken, wo ich Kommunikations-Design an der Fachhochschule Würzburg studierte – und 1997 mit dem Diplom abschließen konnte. Seit über zwanzig Jahren lebe und arbeite ich in München. Hier arbeite ich mit zwei Kollegen im Gemeinschafts-Büro Umwerk.
Neben Zeichnen und Kunst begeistern mich Radfahren und sowohl das Urbane wie auch die Natur. Die menschliche Spezies und deren Zusammenleben fasziniert und erschreckt mich zugleich. Diesen Aspekt versuche ich in meinen Illustrationen gelegentlich einzubringen.
